50/100-Yard Smallbore Slow Prone/Benchrest Match

Rifles:             Rifles must be chambered in .22 cal. long rifle only.

Loading:        Rounds should be loaded individually.

Cost;               $5.00 (Shooters under 18 shoot free.)

Location;       Clark Memorial Range, Columbus Nebraska, 83rd Street & 235th Avenue, 41°29’48.57” N, 97°25’37” W.

Start time;     Shooting starts at 8:00 am.  We will begin shooting as soon as the course is setup.

Course of Fire:         1.         All shots will be fired from the covered firing line.

  1. Each shooter will fire four strings of fire in 22 minutes each.
  2. Each string of fire will require the shooter to fire 5 rounds at each of the four bulls.
  3. The bull at the top of the target is for sighting shots.

Equipment:   Shooting mat plus rifle and ammunition and hearing protection along with an ECI (empty chamber indicator).  A four-foot-long piece of trimmer string works great for this purpose.  Additionally, you may want to bring a spotting scope, water and snacks.  Front rests or bipods or club sand bags are up to each shooter.  Club iron sighted rifles are available for any shooter to use.  Every shooter needs to provide their own ammunition.

Divisions:      The divisions for this match will be;

  1. Prone position
  2. Open sights with sling
  3. Telescopic sights with sling
  4. Telescopic sights with front rest and rear bag (bipods count as a front rest)
  5. Bench Rest
  6. Any sights with any non-connected front rest and rear bag
