NRL22 Match

Winter 22LR Match Sunday, February 18, 2024

Rifles:             Rifles must be chambered in .22 cal. long rifle only.

Loading:        Rounds should be loaded into a magazine.

Cost;               $5.00 (Shooters under 18 shoot free.)

Location;       Clark Memorial Range, Columbus Nebraska, 83rd Street & 235th Avenue, 41°29’48.57” N, 97°25’37” W.

Start time;     Shooting starts at 1:00 pm with a 30-minute sighting in period. Match starts at 1:30 pm.

  1. Rifles must be chambered in 22Lr only.  Both bolt action and semi-autos are allowed.  A scope is very important in this match.
  2. This match will be a hybrid NRL22 style match.  We will adhere to most of the basic rules from NRL22.
  3. You will have two minutes to fire 10 or 12 shots for record.  All shooting will be done from either a standing supported or seated supported position.
  4. Shooters may use a sling and or an attached bipod for all shooting.
  5. Shooters may use one additional bag.
  6. All shooters will be paired with a partner, who will call impacts or misses.  No target may be shot more than the stage calls for in the description.
  7. All shooters will start each stage in a standing position, magazine in the rifle and the bolt must be open.  Do not close the bolt until you are in position and the target is in the scope.
  8. The range will be open to sighting shots at 1:00 pm on the day of the match.

Shooter will shoot two shots from the highest rung they can reach, starting with the closest targets and then move to a different rung before shooting the next targets with two shots. The shooter may use the same rungs more than once.  Round count = 10, 100 points possible.

Two                       Tank trap             60 yards                                               3”

Shooter will engage the target from a seated position on two of the tips of the tank trap while seated on a black club chair.  Round count = 10, 100 points possible.

Three                     Bench                    50 yards                                               KYL rack ¼”, ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”

Shooter will start with the largest target and shoot each target once from largest to smallest, then the shooter will shoot from smallest to largest, hit or miss.  Round count = 10, 100 points possible.

Four                       Rope                      100 yards                                            4” & 6”

Shooter will use the rope provided as a support while seated in a club black chair.  The shooter will alternate between the two targets.  Round count = 10, 100 points possible.

Five                        Off-Hand              25 Yards                                               2”

Shooter will shoot from a standing position with no support other than a sling attached only to the rifle. Round count = 10, 100 points possible.

Six                           Roof                      20, 54, 68, 87, 146 Yards               1”, 1 ¼”, 3”, 4”, 5”

Must rest the rifle on the top of the roof to shoot.  Each target must be shot twice.  Round count = 10, 100 points possible.  Any position goes if the rifle is resting on the roof.
