Match Specifics

  • Stage 4 will be placed in knocking your pill bottle past the 50-yard target line.

  1. Stage 1 “Awful Hand”
    • 20 shots for record at 10 meters with unlimited sighters in 26 minutes fired from a standing position with no support.  Target will be NRA ten-meter air rifle target.
  2. Stage 2 “Bench Rest”
    • 20 shots for record at 25 yards with unlimited sighters in 22 minutes fired from a seated position with a front rest and rear bag off one of the black benches.  The target for this stage is shown below.
  3. Stage 3 “Field Target”
    • Each spot you shoot from is called a lane.  There will be at least two targets per lane and each target is to be shot twice.  Shooters must stay behind the wooden stake and be able to touch it with their foot.  Shooters will re-set the field target by pulling on the attached string.  No sighting shots are allowed on this stage.  Support bags and or bipod/tripods are allowed for this stage and can be carried in a bucket which the shooter may sit on while shooting.  Each shooter will get 5 minutes to shoot their 4 shots at each lane.  Distances will be from 10 yards to 50 yards.  There will be 20 shots for record in the 5 total lanes.
      • Field Target

        Support Bags
  4. Stage 4 “Team Pill Bottle Race”
    • Each two-person team will have a plastic pill bottle like a large size Tylenol or Advil bottle. The bottle must be empty.  Starting at the south edge of the concrete covered firing line, each team will throw their bottle as far as they can out in front of the firing line southward.  Then each team will shoot their bottle from any position until it is knocked past the south edge of the concrete 50-yard target line.  The first team to do so wins 20 points each.
      • 2nd place = 15 points
      • 3rd place = 10 points
      • 4th place = 5 points
