High Power Rifle F-Class Shooting Rules
Match Rifle – NRA MR-52 (600yd target reduced for 200yd)
Service Rifle – NRA SR-5 (200yd target)
Course of Fire: 40 record rounds total + sighters
2 relays of 20 record shots will be fired slow fire at 200 yds
Record shots may be fired from the prone position or from a bench.
Shooters will be allocated 20 minutes per relay for any sighting rounds and 20 scoring rounds per relay
Every competitor will be required to perform pit duty to pull targets for those on the line. Handicapped
exceptions will be take into consideration.
Any safe trigger is allowed
Shooting mat or ground cloth allowed in prone
Spotting scopes allowed
No personal wind flags forward of the firing line are allowed
All scoring will be done by the competitor at the firing line
Rifles may be fired from the prone position or benches, single load only, on non-conforming pliable sandbags, both front and rear. Adjustable pedestals with sandbag under the forearm of the rifle are permitted. Blocks, boxes, bipods, or such devices to achieve proper elevation are permitted.
Any machine rests or any rest that can return to battery or which retards recoil will not be allowed.
OPEN ACTIONS: Empty chamber flags are required
FIRING: No shots shall be fired until the command “COMMENCE FIRING” has been given and no shot shall be fired after the command “CEASE FIRING” has begun.
After the “CEASE FIRING” command, rifles must be made safe and chamber flag inserted.
